Hockey

Competitive youth hockey leagues are offered through the Fraser Valley Hockey Association at the Icebox ice rink. The association is guided by the values of good sportsmanship, honesty, leader- ship, physical fitness, respect for all individuals and personal integrity. Join Fraser Valley Rec’s PEAK Swim Team, a proud CARA League competitor! Our team offers a supportive and structured environment for swimmers to improve technique, build endurance, and develop competitive skills.

Basketball

Fraser Valley Rec offers a youth basketball program designed to give participants a basic understanding of the rules, skills, and strategies of basketball. This program has two divisions: 3rd & 4th Graders (coed) and 5th and 6th Graders (boys teams, girls teams).

For girls with foundational skills on floor, beam, vault, and bars, Alpine Gymnastics offers a 4-hour/week program with a recreational competitive experience. Coach approval required.

Volleyball

Fraser Valley Rec offers a youth volleyball program that emphasizes volleyball fundamentals, skill development, fun, and sportsmanship. This program has two divisions: 3rd & 4th Graders (coed) and 5th and 6th Graders (Coed). Games are played against teams from Granby and Kremmling.

T-Ball

For kids going into kindergarten or 1st grade in the fall. Practice will begin in the spring.

For kids going into 4th, 5th, or 6th grade in the fall. Practice will begin in the spring.

Practice dates and times are determined by coaches and will be held at the Fraser Valley Sports Complex.

Game days and times will be announced closer to season. Home games will be held at the Fraser Valley Sports Complex. Travel to Granby, Kremmling, and Walden may be required.

Tennis

Tennis Menaces – Red Ball

A fun introduction to tennis for ages 4 to 5. Activities in this class will focus on developing eye/hand coordination and students will begin to learn tennis strokes.

Tennis 10 & Under — Orange Ball

Lighter, lower-bouncing balls and smaller, lighter racquets that fit your child’s size make it easy and fun for them to hit, play, and score from the start – while developing skills that will last a lifetime.

Tennis NJTL — Green Dot Ball

Participants will play in fun games and drills, will learn to play points and matches, compete in the Arthur Ashe Essay Contest, and do fun educational projects when the weather is unsuitable to play tennis.

Join coach Kate for introductions to golf for boys and girls of preschool age.

A class designed for boys and girls to develop the basic skills to become a proficient golfer. We will focus on developing fundamental movement skills in addition to golf specific training techniques.

We will introduce the full-swing, short-game, putting, rules and etiquette and work towards preparing for nine hole play. Players must be ready to carry their own golf bag for nine holes and have had prior golf lessons.

We offer competitive soccer through Grand County Soccer Club which strives to promote the game of soccer and ensure that it is a fun and positive experience for all players.

Lacrosse

Lacrosse opportunities in partnership with the Fraser Valley Lacrosse Club, provide youth with access to a fast-paced and exciting team sport. This collaboration supports skill development, teamwork, and a strong lacrosse community.

Never Summer Senders offers a youth climbing team for 8+ year olds to compete in the USA Climbing bouldering series. Competing is not a requirement to participate but to get the most out of this practice season your child should be excited to work towards becoming a better climber.

Little Rippers Bike Program

The Little Rippers Bike program is designed for children age 4-6 to improve their bike skills. Coaches will cover the basics of bike on pavement, dirt, over (small) obstacles and other bike skills in a fun, non-competitive environment.
